Citywide Projects
UPDATE: 04/01/25- This project is still in the utility relocation phase. Utility providers will be on the right-of-way of both sides of Telephone Rd. moving their lines in preparation for the widening. There is no scheduled start time as it is dependent on the relocation efforts.
The project will consist of removal and replacement of sub-grade and base materials, as well as replacement of the existing driving surface with concrete between SW 19th Street and SW 34th Street. Including necessary curb and guttering, storm drainage improvements, sidewalks, streetscape and utility line replacement. Telephone Road will also be widened to from 4-lanes to 5-lanes. This is a $10.9 million project.
08/21/2025: Kings Ct & NW 12th St - There will be some panel replacements. The road will remain open through this project. It will last a few weeks, weather permitting.
08/18/2025: Broadmoore Heights Addition will be shutting down the west emergency entrance (Willow Pine Dr & Piper St) for a five day period to remove an island from the old parking lot. This will open back up after five days, weather permitting.
08/18/2025: Hillcrest Dr from Cass Ave to the dead end. Crews will be doing a total reconstruction of the roadway. Partial roadway will be closed during construction, but will remain open. Approximate time frame will be about 2 1/2 weeks, weather permitting.
08/18/2025: Sendera Lakes Blvd & Lago Dr- This intersection will be completely torn out for base failure, but the intersection will remain open during most of the construction. This project will take about 3 weeks, weather permitting.
08/05/2025: 700 block of NW 20th St will be partially closed for concrete panel work starting the end of this week and should be completed by the mid to end of next week. Crews tell us that the back east entrance/exit on NW 20th St to Kelley Elementary School will be closed during this time.
08/18/2025: Once the south side of the road is completed, crews will tear out 9 concrete panels on the north side of the road. The road will remain open at all times. This project will be extended for one more week.
07/22/2025: S Eastern Ave in front of Scooters Coffee- Beginning July 25th, there will be storm pipe replacement and repair work in the right of way of S Eastern. There will not be any street tear out on Eastern, but the right lane of Eastern will be closed. Completion will be approximately 2 weeks.
08/07/2025: The city has decided to go ahead and repair the storm pipe from Scooters Coffee to SE 4th St. This project has been extended by a few weeks.
07/07/2025: Excess dirt storage. The City of Moore owns the property at 800 SW 4th St. Crews are currently storing dirt at this site from the SE 4th Street underpass project. This material will be used for future city projects.
06/30/2025: Eastern & NE 4th St to Morgan Dr.- contractors for the City of Moore Water Department will begin moving in equipment for the installation of a new water main line. The installation will occur over the next few months, weather permitting.
03/15/2025- NW 24th, N. Janeway, Shields, and Vermeer- Crews will be installing new water main lines on NW 24th St, N. Janeway Ave & Vermeer Dr. This project is expected to be complete by the end of September 2025, weather permitting.
Moore Cemetery:
08/14/2025- Contractors will be adding electricity to the middle pavilion at the Moore Cemetery. They will be working from the Middle Pavilion directly west along the sidewalk to the fence. Construction is set to begin the week of September 8th 2025 with the completion date set for the end of that same week, weather permitting.
Little River Park:
06/26/2025- Crews will be working on adding a sidewalk from the parking lot directly to the front entrance of the Little River Splash Pad. Construction is set to begin by the beginning August 2025 with the completion date set for mid-August, weather permitting.
Little River Park:
06/26/2025- Crews will be working on adding sidewalks from the New Exit Gates of the Little River Splash Pad to the existing sidewalks. Construction is set to begin by the beginning of October 2025 with the completion date set for mid- October 2025, weather permitting.
Buck Thomas Park Softball Fields:
07/24/2025- Crews will be working on drainage issues for the softball fields. Construction is set to begin at the beginning of November with a completion date set for the end of November 2025, weather permitting.
Buck Thomas Park Football Fields:
07/24/2025- Crews will be working on drainage issues for the football fields at Buck Thomas Park. Construction is set to begin by the beginning of November 2025 with the completion date set for the end of November 2025, weather permitting.
Sonoma Lakes; nearest intersection is N.E. 12th & Sunnylane Rd.
Update: 08/12/25- Water and Sewer Improvement Plans approved, but no work has started.
Urbansky Farms; nearest intersection is S.E. 19th & Sunnylane Rd.
Update: 08/07/2025- Crews are installing water and sewer improvements.
Cypress Creek; nearest intersection is S.E. 19th & Sunnylane Rd.
Update: 08/07/2025- Final inspections are underway.
Flicker Ridge; nearest intersection is N.E. 12th & Flicker Ridge.
Update: 08/07/2025- Water and sewer improvements have been installed.
Paving & Drainage improvements to begin soon.
Broadmoore Heights; Section 3 nearest intersection is S.E. 34th & S Bryant Ave.
Update: 06/12/2025- Property is being graded for development.
