Citywide Projects
UPDATE: 04/01/25- This project is still in the utility relocation phase. Utility providers will be on the right-of-way of both sides of Telephone Rd. moving their lines in preparation for the widening. There is no scheduled start time as it is dependent on the relocation efforts.
The project will consist of removal and replacement of sub-grade and base materials, as well as replacement of the existing driving surface with concrete between SW 19th Street and SW 34th Street. Including necessary curb and guttering, storm drainage improvements, sidewalks, streetscape and utility line replacement. Telephone Road will also be widened from 4-lanes to 5-lanes. This is a $10.9 million project.
Excess dirt storage
07/07/2025- The City of Moore owns the property at 800 SW 4th St. Crews are currently storing dirt at this site from the SE 4th Street underpass project. This material will be used for future city projects.
Sunnylane to Sooner Rd on Indian Hills Rd
11/4/2025- 12 inch water line being installed on Indian Hills Rd. Indian Hills Rd will remain open during this process. This project should be completed by January 30, 2026, weather permitting.
NW 24th, N. Janeway, Shields, and Vermeer
03/15/2025-Crews will be installing new water main lines on NW 24th St, N. Janeway Ave & Vermeer Dr. This project is expected to be complete by the end of September 2025, weather permitting.
10/16/2025- Things are slow moving with this project.
11/4/2025- Crews had to adjust the project a bit, which has caused some delays. This project is scheduled to wrap up by the end of 2025.
1/13/2026- This on-going project keeps getting bigger. This project has been extended to February 2026, weather permitting.
Little River Park: New
1/15/2026- Contractors will be working on Adding a New Shade Structure over the Fitness Center at Little River Park South. Construction is set to begin the week of February 23rd 2026 with the completion date set for the end of May 2026, weather permitting.
Moore Community Center:
12/5/2025- Contractors will be repainting the Gym Doors at the Moore Community Center. Work is set to begin by Mid-January 2026, with a completion date set for the end of January 2026, weather permitting.
Buck Thomas Park Football Fields:
07/24/2025- Crews will be working on drainage issues for the football fields at Buck Thomas Park. Construction is set to begin by the beginning of Mid-January 2026 with the completion date set for the end of January 2026, weather permitting.
Buck Thomas Park Football Fields:
1/8/2025- Contractors will be straightening and fixing the fence along the perimeter of the Football Complex at Buck Thomas Park. Work is set to begin by Mid-January 2026, with a completion date set for the end of January 2026, weather permitting.
Buck Thomas Park Dog Park:
1/8/2025- Crews will be working on making the sidewalk ADA Compliant entering the East Side Large Dog Park at Buck Thomas Park. Work is set to begin by Mid-January 2026, with a completion date set for the end of January 2026, weather permitting.
Central Park Maintenance Yard Expansion:
1/8/2026- Contractors will be working on Expanding the Maintenance Yard at Central Park. Construction is set to begin by the Week of January 12th 2026 with the completion date set for the end of February 2026, weather permitting.
Moore Cemetery:
1/8/2025- Contractors will be adding electricity and lights to the South Pavilion at the Moore Cemetery. Work is set to begin the Week of January 26th 2026, with a completion date set for January 30th 2026 , weather permitting.
