Citywide Projects
UPDATE: 04/01/25- This project is still in the utility relocation phase. Utility providers will be on the right-of-way of both sides of Telephone Rd. moving their lines in preparation for the widening. There is no scheduled start time as it is dependent on the relocation efforts.
The project will consist of removal and replacement of sub-grade and base materials, as well as replacement of the existing driving surface with concrete between SW 19th Street and SW 34th Street. Including necessary curb and guttering, storm drainage improvements, sidewalks, streetscape and utility line replacement. Telephone Road will also be widened to from 4-lanes to 5-lanes. This is a $10.9 million project.
08/06/2025 UPDATE: Per the City of OKC, crews are paving the residential entrances on Wednesday, August 6th. Then, painting all the traffic lines on Thursday and Friday. Hopefully, Friday, August 8th all lanes of traffic should be open.
07/23/2025 UPDATE: Per the City of OKC, a piece of equipment broke down on Monday, delaying the completion of the eastbound lanes. This caused a ripple effect, requiring the traffic control company to reschedule. The contractor is paving the eastbound lanes today and expects to finish by tomorrow, if not today. Traffic is scheduled to switch to the new lanes on Friday, going head-to-head. There is some work to be done on the westbound lanes on Friday. Paving of the westbound lanes is scheduled to begin on Monday and is expected to be completed by Tuesday, assuming no further delays.
07/18/2025 UPDATE: Per the City of OKC, the contractor on SW 149th expects to be finished next Friday, July 25th. All lanes will be open. There may be some traffic striping that needs to be completed, but temporary lane tags will be placed if the striping is not finished.
05/08/2025 UPDATE: Per the City of OKC, this project is currently set to be completed by the end of June. OKC has not accounted for all the weather delays in April, so it could run into July. They are hoping for a mid-July completion, weather permitting.
04/09/25 UPDATE: Per the City of OKC, SW 149th Street from Hudson Avenue to Vicki Drive will temporarily close to traffic from Friday, April 11, to Saturday, April 12. Crews are working on a storm sewer drain as part of the street widening project.
08/19/2024 UPDATE: Per the City of OKC, beginning Wednesday, August 21, 2024 Westmore Dr will be closed until May 2025. The project construction manager has recognized potential safety concerns and has advised the City of Moore to close the street.
07/23/2024 Per the City of OKC, beginning Tuesday evening after 8:00pm, the Contractor performing the construction for the Widening of 149th Street in OKC from Santa Fe to Western will be closing lanes at the intersection of SW 19th St. and Santa Fe Ave. in Moore. For Westbound traffic at the intersection, the existing left turn lane will be closed. The existing westbound thru lane will be used for thru traffic as well as the left turn lane for traffic turning south during construction. For Eastbound traffic at the intersection, the existing left turn lane will be closed. The existing outside eastbound lane will be used for thru traffic as well as the left turn lane for traffic turning north. The existing inside eastbound lane will now become the westbound lane for thru traffic. Double yellow striping will separate the eastbound and westbound traffic west of the intersection during construction. It is anticipated that construction will take approximately 8 months to complete. The week of 08/11/2025: Sendera Lakes Blvd & Lago Dr- This intersection will be completely torn out for base failure, but the intersection will remain open during most of the construction. This project will take about 2 weeks weather permitting.
08/05/2025: 700 block of NW 20th St will be partially closed for concrete panel work starting the end of this week and should be completed by the mid to end of next week. Crews tell us that the back east entrance/exit on NW 20th St to Kelley Elementary School will be closed during this time.
08/08/2025: Once the south side of the road is completed, crews will tear out 9 concrete panels on the north side of the road. The road will remain open at all times. This project will be extended for one more week.
07/25/2025: 1824-1844 Sunrise Dr concrete planel replacement repair work. Completion date will be 3 weeks, weather permitting.
08/07/2025: North Bound lane is open. Concrete was poured on Wednesday, August 6, should be completed the first part of next week.
07/22/2025: S Eastern Ave in front of Scooters Coffee- Beginning July 25th, there will be storm pipe replacement and repair work in the right of way of S Eastern. There will not be any street tear out on Eastern, but the right lane of Eastern will be closed. Completion will be approximately 2 weeks.
08/07/2025: The city has decided to go ahead and repair the storm pipe from Scooters Coffee to SE 4th St. This project has been extended by a week.
07/07/2025: Excess dirt storage. The City of Moore owns the property at 800 SW 4th St. Crews are currently storing dirt at this site from the SE 4th Street underpass project. This material will be used for future city projects.
06/30/2025: Eastern & NE 4th St to Morgan Dr.- contractors for the City of Moore Water Department will begin moving in equipment for the installation of a new water main line. The installation will occur over the next few months, weather permitting.
03/15/2025- NW 24th, N. Janeway, Shields, and Vermeer- Crews will be installing new water main lines on NW 24th St, N. Janeway Ave & Vermeer Dr. This project is expected to be complete by the end of September 2025, weather permitting.
Little River Park:
06/26/2025- Crews will be working on adding a sidewalk from the parking lot directly to the front entrance of the Little River Splash Pad. Construction is set to begin by the beginning August 2025 with the completion date set for mid-August, weather permitting.
Little River Park:
06/26/2025- Crews will be working on adding sidewalks from the New Exit Gates of the Little River Splash Pad to the existing sidewalks. Construction is set to begin by the beginning of October 2025 with the completion date set for mid- October 2025, weather permitting.
Buck Thomas Park Softball Fields:
07/24/2025- Crews will be working on drainage issues for the softball fields. Construction is set to begin at the beginning of November with a completion date set for the end of November 2025, weather permitting.

Update: 08/12/25- Water and Sewer Improvement Plans approved, but no work has started.
Urbansky Farms; nearest intersection is S.E. 19th & Sunnylane Rd.
