Citywide Projects
UPDATE: 04/01/25- This project is still in the utility relocation phase. Utility providers will be on the right-of-way of both sides of Telephone Rd. moving their lines in preparation for the widening. There is no scheduled start time as it is dependent on the relocation efforts.
The project will consist of removal and replacement of sub-grade and base materials, as well as replacement of the existing driving surface with concrete between SW 19th Street and SW 34th Street. Including necessary curb and guttering, storm drainage improvements, sidewalks, streetscape and utility line replacement. Telephone Road will also be widened from 4-lanes to 5-lanes. This is a $10.9 million project.
S. Santa Fe Street Repair
05/21/26- Oklahoma City crews will be starting concrete repairs in the area of 2900 S. Santa Fe starting May 26, 2026. Santa Fe should remain open during the repairs with only one lane closing at a time. The project is projected to take 2 weeks, weather permitting.
05/26/2026- Due to the weather this project has been delayed. This project will not start until Thursday, May 28, 2026.
Old Town Sewer Rehab
04/02/26 - Veolia will be working between Main St and SW 4th St, Telephone Rd to Broadway Ave on sewer rehab. The project is projected to end in August 2026, weather permitting.
Waterline Rehab
02/26/26 - Veolia will be working on a waterline located at NW 2nd St between N Norman Ave and N Markwell Ave. The completion date is the end of April 2026, weather permitting.
Excess dirt storage
07/07/2025- The City of Moore owns the property at 800 SW 4th St. Crews are currently storing dirt at this site from the SE 4th Street underpass project. This material will be used for future city projects.
Veterans Park:
5/29/2026- Crews will be working on cleaning out a portion of the creek near SE 7th St. Bridge. Work is set to begin by Mid-June 2026 with the competition date set for the end of June 2026, weather permitting.
Little River South Park:
5/29/2026- Crews will be repairing the Pour In Place Surfacing at Little River South Playground. Work is set to begin on June 2, 2026 and will be completed in one day, weather permitting. The park will be closed during repairs.
Apple Valley Park Re-Striping Parking Spaces in Parking Lot:
5/20/2026- Crews will be working on re-striping the parking spaces at Apple Valley Park. Construction is set to begin at the beginning of June 2026 with the competition date set for one day after the project start date, weather permitting.
Buck Thomas Park Maintenance Yard Expansion:
2/19/2026- Contractors will be working on expanding the maintenance yard at Buck Thomas Park. Construction is set to begin the beginning of March 2026 with the completion date set for mid-June 2026, weather permitting.
Buck Thomas Park Baseball Fields:
2/6/2026- Contractors will be adding new restrooms at the Baseball Complex at Buck Thomas Park. Work is set to begin by the end of January 2026, with a completion date set for the end of July 2026, weather permitting.
