Citywide Projects
UPDATE: 04/01/25- This project is still in the utility relocation phase. Utility providers will be on the right-of-way of both sides of Telephone Rd. moving their lines in preparation for the widening. There is no scheduled start time as it is dependent on the relocation efforts.
The project will consist of removal and replacement of sub-grade and base materials, as well as replacement of the existing driving surface with concrete between SW 19th Street and SW 34th Street. Including necessary curb and guttering, storm drainage improvements, sidewalks, streetscape and utility line replacement. Telephone Road will also be widened to from 4-lanes to 5-lanes. This is a $10.9 million project.
NE 12th from Lost Creek Dr to Sunnylane Rd
10/20/2025- Crews will be starting a total reconstruction project to rebuild the roadway. NE 12th St will remain open for local traffic only during construction. Construction should last about 30 days, weather permitting.
NW 9th St & Lake Crest
09/29/2025- Crews will be working on concrete panel replacement. This project will take approx. 3 weeks, weather permitting.
10/16/2025- Concrete panel repairs will be occuring on NW 6th Pl from Santa Fe to Lake Crest. This project will be ongoing for approx. 30 days.
Estell Dr
09/16/2025- Crews will do a reconstruction. It will remain open during construction but it may be slow going. This project will take about 3 weeks, weather permitting.
Broadmoore Heights Addition
08/18/2025- Crews will be shutting down the west emergency entrance (Willow Pine Dr & Piper St) for a five day period to remove an island from the old parking lot. This will open back up after five days, weather permitting.
09/04/2025- Road is still closed. Crews are working on a water line.
09/25/2025- Crews are installing the sanitary sewer lines. Water lines are almost complete.
Excess dirt storage
07/07/2025- The City of Moore owns the property at 800 SW 4th St. Crews are currently storing dirt at this site from the SE 4th Street underpass project. This material will be used for future city projects.
Eastern & NE 4th St to Morgan Dr
06/30/2025-Contractors for the City of Moore Water Department will begin moving in equipment for the installation of a new water main line. The installation will occur over the next few months, weather permitting.
10/16/2025- Things are wrapping up on this project. Should be completed in about 2 weeks, weather permitting.
NW 24th, N. Janeway, Shields, and Vermeer
03/15/2025-Crews will be installing new water main lines on NW 24th St, N. Janeway Ave & Vermeer Dr. This project is expected to be complete by the end of September 2025, weather permitting.
10/16/2025- Things are slow moving with this project. It still has about a 30 days before completion, weather permitting.
Central Park & Little River Park South:
Beginning Monday, October 20, Central Park will be closed for repairs and will reopen on Tuesday, October 21 @ 8am. Little River South will close on Tuesday, October 21 @ 7am and will reopen on Friday, October 24 @ 4pm. Everything should be reopened by Friday, October 24 @ 4pm, weather permitting.
Buck Thomas Park Tennis Courts:
10/3/2025- Contractors will be adding Privacy Slats on the Fences at the Tennis Courts at Buck Thomas Park. Construction is set to begin the week of October 6th, 2025, with the completion date set for October 24th, weather permitting.
Little River Park:
08/28/2025- Crews will be working on adding a sidewalk from the parking lot directly to the front entrance of the Little River Splash Pad. Construction is set to begin by mid October 2025 with the completion date set for the end of October, weather permitting.
Little River Park:
06/26/2025- Crews will be working on adding sidewalks from the New Exit Gates of the Little River Splash Pad to the existing sidewalks. Construction is set to begin by the beginning of October 2025 with the completion date set for mid- October 2025, weather permitting.
Buck Thomas Park Softball Fields:
07/24/2025- Crews will be working on drainage issues for the softball fields. Construction is set to begin at the beginning of November with a completion date set for the end of November 2025, weather permitting.
Buck Thomas Park Football Fields:
07/24/2025- Crews will be working on drainage issues for the football fields at Buck Thomas Park. Construction is set to begin by the beginning of November 2025 with the completion date set for the end of November 2025, weather permitting.
Sonoma Lakes; nearest intersection is N.E. 12th & Sunnylane Rd.
Update: 08/12/25- Water and Sewer Improvement Plans approved, but no work has started.
Urbansky Farms; nearest intersection is S.E. 19th & Sunnylane Rd.
Update: 08/07/2025- Crews are installing water and sewer improvements.
Update: 09/25/2025- Crews are pressure testing the sanitary sewer lines and water lines. Crews are installing storm sewer.
Cypress Creek; nearest intersection is S.E. 19th & Sunnylane Rd.
Update: 09/25/2025- Final inspections will occur the last week of September.
Flicker Ridge; nearest intersection is N.E. 12th & Flicker Ridge.
Update: 08/07/2025- Water and sewer improvements have been installed.
Paving & Drainage improvements to begin soon.
