The City of Moore has been awarded several grants over the past few years that have funded many different projects.
Clean Air Grant
The Association of Central Oklahoma Governments (ACOG) granted the City of Moore a Clean Air Grant for Public Sector Fleets. The City received a total of $103,056.00 to convert one new refuse collection truck to natural gas. This new refuse truck is estimated to be in use by August 2018.
Recreational Trails Program
The Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department awarded the City of Moore a recreational trails grant of $160,000.00 for the construction of a trail for Fairmoore Park. The trail was constructed in the winter of 2017 during the complete re-construction of Fairmoore Park.
Land and Water Conservation Fund
The Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department awarded the City of Moore a grant from the Land and Water Conservation Fund in the amount of $250,000.00. These grant funds will help fund a spray park, pavilion, restroom, and trail for Westmoore Trails Park. This project is expected to begin construction on the Fall of 2018.
