The City of Moore’s Community Development Department invites you to celebrate Building Safety Month with us! Stop by and visit with City staff to get answers to your construction, permitting, and property maintenance questions.

Event Locations & Times:
• May 8, 2026 – 9:00 am to 3:00 pm – Home Depot (650 SW 19th St., Moore, OK 73160)

What you’ll learn:
City staff will be on-site to provide information and assistance on:

• Information
o Planning – How to develop and submit a site plan.
o Building Inspections – When permits are required and the inspection process.
o Code Enforcement – How to submit a concern and maintain compliance.
o Environmental Services – Understanding common types of pollution and prevention.
o Right of Way – Dig safe information before you start your project.
o Floodplain Management – General floodplain requirements and safety tips.

• On-the-Spot Assistance
o Walk you through the permit process.
o Help with application submittal.
o Potentially issue permits at the event locations.
o Verify if your storm shelter is registered with emergency management.
