Estate of Emily Gaines v. City of Moore Judgement

Emily Gaines’ death is a tragedy and our community continues to grieve alongside her family and friends. The City of Moore respects the jury’s verdict holding Kyle Lloyd liable for his negligence. The City disagrees that Kyle Lloyd was acting within the scope of his employment and will consider appealing this decision. While a portion of the verdict applies to the City, those damages are limited to $125,000 by statute, as described in the judgement below by Chief U.S. District Judge, Timothy D. DeGiusti.
