  • Contractor Requirements in Moore

    Following storms in our area contractors for various trades will come to Moore to solicit business. Attached are the contractor requirements. 

    Home owners need to use caution and make sure contractors have the appropriate permits, licenses, and insurances in place before paying for services. 

    The attached document has the requirements for each type of contractor.

  • Tornado Damages Moore - 3-25-2015

    On Wednesday, March 25, 2015, a tornado touched down in Moore, Ok.
    Early reports from City Departments state minor and moderate damage in Moore from tonight’s storm and tornado. At this time only minor injuries have been reported.
    City street crews are removing debris from roads and checking damaged traffic signals. 
    City staff will conduct a damage assessment on Thursday.

  • Moore Easter Egg Scramble

    Saturday, March 28, 2015 - 10:00am to 11:00am

    Bring your camera for pictures with the Easter Bunny and watch a dazzling display of Easter egg hunting.  

    10:30am - All Ages with Disabilities;

    10:30am - Ages 0-12 on 6 different football fields going at the same time.   


     

  • Tree Giveaway in Moore

    Sunday, March 29, 2015 - 1:00pm

    The Oklahoma Community Tree Recovery Campaign – a multi-year partnership between the Arbor Day Foundation, Oklahoma Forestry Services, and Tree Bank Foundation – kicks off with the giveaway of 1,000 one-gallon trees to Moore residents to replace trees damaged and destroyed by the May 2013 tornado.  This is open to any Moore Resident.

    The City of Moore will distribute oaks and redbuds from 1pm to 3pm on Sunday, March 29, at the Moore Community Center.

  • RETREET to Visit Moore

    On March 28, 2015, volunteers from all over the US will converge in Moore to plant trees, at no cost, for residents who lost their homes during the 2013 tornado and have started or completed the rebuilding process. A grassroots, community-based effort, this event will be held by RETREET, a nonprofit organization that has planted over 3,000 trees at home sites across Texas, Colorado, Missouri, New York, and Ontario, Canada, over the past three years.

    Moore, OK - March, 10 2015 - City of Moore announced today a partnership with Nextdoor (www.nextdoor.com), the free and private social network for neighborhoods, to build stronger, safer communities with the help of residents.

  • Earth Day Recycling Event

    Saturday, April 18, 2015 - 8:00am to 4:00pm

    The first Earth Day was held in April 1970. Over 40 years later, this little holiday gets some big attention, and its mission still holds true to encourage action for a healthy environment! Help the City of Moore celebrate Earth Day by taking advantage of some great recycling opportunities. 

    On April 18, 2015 the City of Moore will hold recycling opportunities at the Moore Recycle Center located at 400 N. Telephone Rd. 

    Citizens will be able to drive thru and drop off items.
