This year's Celebration in the Heartland festival will be held on Tuesday, July 4th from 10am - 10pm at Buck Thomas Park, 1903 NE 12th St., Moore. This year's festival will feature: food vendors, a children's activity tent, inflatable's, a Happy Train, children's sand pit, arts & crafts vendors, wineries, and DWTA Helicopter Rides ($40.00/person). This year's food trucks will be: Flying Pig BBQ; Bacon N' Cakin, Phil Me Up Cheesesteaks; The Healthy Hippo, Sugar Shack, Mob Grill, Blue Donkey Taco and St. Paddy Cakes. We will conclude the event with a huge fireworks show at dark. The radio station to listen to the fireworks music is FM 89.9. Musical Entertainment will be at the South Pavilion starting at 4pm. This year's bands are Hook & Stars.

Check-In: 7:30am at Little River Park
The OK Wildlife Department will be on site for safety, knot tying, fish ID, fish cleaning and ethics training.
Bring your own pole and bait (crawlers, stink bait, shrimp, liver etc.)
4 fish limit per family. No culling. You catch it, you keep it!
For kids ages 5-15; MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.
Both ponds are stocked with catchable sized catfish.

Dive-In Movie: Finding Dory
Where: The Station Aquatic Center, 700 S. Broadway Ave.
Time: 8:30pm - Door Open, Movie starts at 9:00pm
Cost: $5.00 per person/ No Passes
Bring your whole family to the Aquatic Center for a movie while swimming.
No Outside Food and Drink, Concession will be open.
Come join us on Fridays for lunch at Central Park. We will have food trucks in the park. Just some of the examples of the food we will have include Mexican, BBQ, hot dogs, sandwiches, hamburgers, and more! There will also be music playing in the park. Take an hour away from work and join us at Central Park for Food Truck Fridays.

The annual Moore War 5K Run will be held Saturday, August 26, 2017. Registration will be held at the Moore High School parking lot beginning at 6:30 a.m.
The run will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Main and Eastern (Moore High School parking lot).
Parts of Eastern Ave., 19th St. and Broadway Ave. will be closed for the safety of the participants during this event.
Roads will be reopened as soon as all the participants have completed sections of the race course. We expect the entire race course to be reopened no later then 9 a.m. with the exception of the finish line area at 200 N Broadway.
The Moore War Run committee would like to invite our citizens to come out and watch the race and show our community spirit to the runners. Proceeds from the run will be split evenly between the Moore High School Alumni Association, Westmoore High School Alumni Association, and Southmoore High School student fund.
This 5K run through downtown Moore benefits the scholarships for all three high schools. This run is sanctioned by the USATF and timed with ChampionChips. Sign up to run or to volunteer at moorewarrun.com.
Since 1988, Lions and Jaguars have sparred against one another in a race to determine the big cat in town. When it comes to Moore War, rivalries run deep and emotions run high. Each August, alums from Moore and Westmoore, as well as members of the community, put aside their differences to come together for a common cause–current students.
