Police Officer Testing Notice

The Moore Police Department will be holding physical and written applicant testing at regular intervals during 2018.  Persons who wish to be tested will need to contact MSgt Troy Fullbright to be placed on a testing notification list.

The written examination will consist of:

Basic math skills
Reading comprehension
Spelling and Grammar

The physical test will consist of:

1.5 mile run in under 15 min 20 sec;

300 meter sprint in under 68 seconds;

15 pushups in 60 seconds;

26 sit ups in 60 seconds;

If you did not successfully complete the written or psychical test during one session, you can retest during any of the upcoming sessions.

The Moore Police Department's 89 officers and 17 civilian employees provide law enforcement services to residents and visitors to the City of Moore in an effort to create a safe community by protecting life, preserving liberty and keeping the peace.

Officers starting salary is $44,549 and increases to $54,390 upon completion of a 12 month probation period.  (Successful candidates who are already CLEET-certified peace officers would start at the $54,390 rate.)  Additional pay for college degrees and bilingual officers.  Other benefits include college tuition reimbursement, take-home patrol car for officers residing in the city limits, longevity pay, and much more.
