Moore Updates

  • Tuesday, July 4, 2017 - 10:00am to 10:00pm

    This year's Celebration in the Heartland festival will be held on Tuesday, July 4th from 10am - 10pm at Buck Thomas Park, 1903 NE 12th St., Moore. This year's festival will feature:  food vendors, a children's activity tent, inflatable's, a Happy Train, children's sand pit, arts & crafts vendors, wineries, and DWTA Helicopter Rides ($40.00/person). This year's food trucks will be:  Flying Pig BBQ; Bacon N' Cakin, Phil Me Up Cheesesteaks; The Healthy Hippo, Sugar Shack, Mob Grill, Blue Donkey Taco and St. Paddy Cakes. We will conclude the event with a huge fireworks show at dark. The radio station to listen to the fireworks music is FM 89.9. Musical Entertainment will be at the South Pavilion starting at 4pm. This year's bands are Hook & Stars.

    We will also have a Car, Truck and Bike Show:  July 4th:  8:00am - 2:00pm. For more information, www.showyourridez.com

  • The FY 2017-2018 City of Moore approved budget is now available.  Click Here  to view the budget.  City Council approved the budget on June 19th City Council meeting.  If you have any questions please call the City Managers office at (405) 793-5200. 

  • Come join us on Fridays for lunch at Central Park. We will have food trucks in the park. Just some of the examples of the food we will have include Mexican, BBQ, hot dogs, sandwiches, hamburgers, and more! There will also be music playing in the park. Take an hour away from work and join us at Central Park for Food Truck Fridays.

    Planned Food Trucks for Friday, June 23rd:  Yum Pig, No Sauce Needed, Lets Do Greek, Vans Pig Stand Food Truck and Trevinos Mexican Street Beast. 

  • Play In the Park - Free program:  Supervised summertime activities for children ages 6 - 14 years of age.  An adult must accompany children. 
    Games; Snacks; Arts and Crafts; at a different City of Moore park.

  • The Station Aquatic Center is open for the 2017 season.  The Aquatic Center is a family fun attraction for all to enjoy.  Amenities include:  Lazy River, two large slides, child wading pool with slide and spray features, diving area with 3m and 1m diving boards, family slide, aquatic climbing wall, log roll, shade structures and outdoor concession area.  Buy your season pass today.  Our hours will be Noon to 8pm Monday – Sunday.
