  • City of Moore - 2017 City Council Election - February 14th, 2017

    Citizens wishing to seek the office of Council person for the non-partisan election can file for candidacy at the Cleveland County Election Board in Norman, 641 E. Robinson, Suite 200.

    Requirements:  Each candidate for the elective office shall be a qualified elector of the City and must have been a registered voter at an address in the desired numbered ward for at least six (6) months prior to filing a Declaration of Candidacy, and must be a property owner in the City of Moore. 

    Filing period – December 5th, 6th and 7th 2016 by 5:00pm are the scheduled dates for filing for candidacy for the upcoming City Council Election.

    Deadline to withdraw from candidacy – December 9th, 2016

    Primary election – February 14th, 2017

    General Election if needed – April 4th, 2017

    The following positions are up for election:

    Ward 1 – Councilperson        Term – Four Years
    Ward 2 – Councilperson        Term – Four Years
    Ward 3 – Councilperson        Term – Four Years

    Citizens seeking information about the offices available can contact the Deputy City Clerk by calling (405) 793-5020.  The Cleveland County Election Board can be contacted by calling (405) 366-0210.
