The Moore Police Department, with the help of Target, held its first Shop with a Cop program on Saturday, December 10th.
The Police Department received a $1,500 grant from the Target Corporation for the Shop with a Cop program. Additional funds were donated and were added to the grant to assist twenty children with holiday shopping.
Officers shopped and spend time getting to know the children who were recommended by a helping organization in Moore. “The purpose of this event is to provide a happier holiday season to these children and to have the children interact with law enforcement officers in a positive setting,” stated Deputy Police Chief Jerry Stillings.
This program would not be possible without the support of Target, Chick-fil-A, City of Moore employees, and the Moore Fraternal Order of Police.
