October 9, 2013 - The City of Moore Inspections division is working to make sure new homes and remodels are up to code. Codes are in place to ensure that homes are built following standards set by industry professionals and adopted by the City Council.
Inspectors are checking to make sure foundations, plumbing, framing, HVAC, and other systems are up to code for the protection of public health and safety. Our city inspectors are making 50-60 site visits per day all around Moore. As of September 27th the building permits office had issued 450 permits for new home construction in 2013.

The first Earth Day was held in 1970. Over 40 years later, this little holiday gets some big attention, and it’s mission still holds true- to encourage action for a healthy environment! Help the City of Moore celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, May 3rd by taking advantage of some great recycling opportunities and paper shredding.
