School Resource Officers
The Moore Police Department and the Moore Public Schools work jointly to ensure the safety of the students in our schools.  As part of this program, MPD provides School Resource Officers for each of the junior high and high schools within the city limits of Moore. These are regular Police Officers whose sole assignment is to work at their school. Not only does the SRO program increase safety at the schools, it also allows interaction between students and Officers. When school is not in session, the SRO's supplement the Patrol Division. The SRO's are supervised by Sgt. Todd Strickland.
