New Moore Recreation Center

The City of Moore Parks and Recreation Department works to provide quality recreational opportunities for all citizens of Moore. The Department strives to provide safe and eye pleasing areas for recreational purposes, and to coordinate efforts to maximize the use of existing parks.

The City offers a variety of parks and recreational facilities, including a Community Center, a Senior Citizens Center, sports parks, playgrounds and neighborhood parks. We also sponsor and organize many events and activities.

Be Moore Active! Parks Programs Online

The City of Moore Parks & Recreation Department is excited to announce the start of its online registration system and activity guide. 

Simply click on an option of "Play a Sport, Reserve a Facility, or View Activities" on the left hand side of the website. 

To use the new system you will create an account and follow the instructions from there.  It’s that easy!

You can now reserve a room or pavilion, and enroll in an activity or program from the convenience of your home.

Community Center

The Moore Community Center is located on the northeast corner of SW 4th and I-35, and offers Moore residents a variety of facilities including meeting rooms and a gymnasium. It also houses the administrative offices of the Parks and Recreation Department.

The Community Center has four meeting rooms available for non-profit community use. Rooms 1-4 will seat 50 persons each; Rooms 1-2 combined will seat 100, as will Rooms 3-4 combined. Kitchen/snack bar facilities are available.

City of Moore Parks and Recreation Department Fall Break Camps

Enroll in one of our Fall Break Camps:  Youth Basketball Camp (Friday October 16th); Mad Science Camp; Archery Camp and Extreme Animals Camp.  The dates are:  Thursday and Friday October 15th and 16th from 9am - Noon except for Archery Camp (1:00pm - 4:00pm) at the Moore Community Center.  for more information please call 793-5090 or  Online registration is available! 

Financial Education Programs

The Moore Parks and Recreation Department has teamed up with Edward Jones for educational finance programs in 2015. Check out the list of programs and visit to sign up for a spot in class.

Parks Board

The Parks Board serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council, and makes recommendations to the Council regarding the planning, development, maintenance and betterment of the city park system. The Parks Board meets at 7pm on the 1st Tuesday of each month (unless preempted by a City Council meeting), in the City Council Chambers at City Hall.
