  • Install. Inspect. Protect.

    More than 3,000 people die in home fires each year in the United States; most of whom are in homes without a working smoke alarm. To prevent these deaths, the U.S. Fire Administration (USFA), a division of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is sponsoring a nationwide Install. Inspect. Protect. Campaign designed to raise awareness about how working, properly installed smoke alarms can lower a person’s chances of dying in a fire. Moore Fire Department is supporting this critical effort to reduce injuries and the loss of life.

  • Forum to Address Tornado Claims & Tax Issues

    Thursday, February 20, 2014 - 6:30pm

    Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner John D. Doak is offering tornado survivors the opportunity to get help with their insurance claim and learn what tax deductions they may be eligible for during a Feb. 20 forum in Moore. The forum will take place at 6:30 p.m. in Rooms A & B of the Moore Public Library, 225 S. Howard Ave.

    The regular Moore Planning Commission Meeting scheduled for September 9, 2014 at 7:00 PM in the City Council Chambers, 301 N. Broadway, Moore, Oklahoma, has been canceled due to a lack of agenda items.


  • Moore Medical Center Emergency Services Now Open

    December 3, 2013 - Moore Medical Center Emergency Services, a freestanding emergency room, located at the former Moore Medical Center site is now open. The building is a modular or temporary one, but it looks and functions exactly as any other emergency department. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

    November 20, 2013 - Today we remember the devastation of May 20th and the loss our community suffered.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who lost loved ones.   We also pause to look towards the future and hold out hope that our community will continue to be resilient and steadfast in its recovery.   • Road Projects in Moore

    Update October 31, 2013 - SW 34th remains closed between Arbor Gardens Park and Sendara Lakes Dr. (between Telephone Rd and Santa Fe); this project is progressing and SW 34th should reopen in 2 weeks weather permitting.
