Community Development Block Grant
The federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) administers the CDBG Program, which provides annual grants to cities meeting certain threshold requirements. The funding is intended to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment, and by expanding economic opportunities, principally for low-moderate income persons.
