 The
Moore Fire Department provides fire
suppression, rescue, and basic emergency medical
services for our citizens and visitors. MFD
employs about sixty personnel,
the vast majority of whom are not only
firefighters, but are also certified Emergency
Medical Technicians. MFD responds to
emergencies from three strategically located
fire stations.
City of Moore
Receives Large Homeland Security Grant!
At a press conference August 5th 2004 at the
State Capital, Governor Henry along with
Kerry Pettingill, the Director of Homeland
Security for the State of Oklahoma, announced
that the City of Moore
would be receiving a multi-million dollar
Federal Grant. This grant will be used
to purchase an 800 MZ radio system for the City
of Moore. Other grants were also issued to help
communities across the State of Oklahoma to
complete the I-44 corridor communications system
for emergency providers. |
