Moore Pride Red Ribbon Parade

Saturday, October 25, 2014 - 10:00am

This year’s Red Ribbon Parade will be held on Saturday, October 25th, 2014, at 10:00 A.M. Staging begins at 8:30 A.M. on 5th STREET BETWEEN I-35 AND BROADWAY. THE PARADE ROUTE WILL FOLLOW BROADWAY TO MAIN STREET, AND THEN MAIN STREET TO THE MOORE HIGH SCHOOL PARKING LOT.

ALL entries must display the Red Ribbon theme, i.e., “Love Yourself, Be Drug Free”. All entries must be registered by sending in the attached registration form. Please complete all information. This assists us in assigning the proper position for your entry, and in allotting the proper space in the parade line up for your entry. PLEASE DESCRIBE YOUR ENTRY USING ITEMS OF INTEREST SUCH AS AWARDS RECEIVED, INVOLVEMENT IN THE COMMUNITY, ETC. AS THIS WILL BE USED BY THE ANNOUNCER.

Groups wishing to perform in front of the grandstand must limit their performance to 30 seconds or less. We average 70-100 entries year year, and a longer time to perform unfortunately cannot be made possible.

We are concerned for the safety of children in the street; therefore we are asking that candy not be thrown from vehicles or floats. Please use walkers, if possible, that are able to toss candy to the sidewalks so that children will not run into the street to pick up candy.

DEADLINE for entries is OCTOBER 17th. Send in the form as soon as possible. You will be contacted the week of the parade and assigned a spot. Please list the name of a person that can be contacted as late as Friday evening, October 24th so that final changes can be made. FOR INFORMATION CALL GAIL STEELMAN AT 735-4297, or VALERIE MARSHALL AT 794-2115.

Thank you to our 2014 Parade Sponsors at the Drug Free Promoter Level. Other sponsors will be announced the day of the parade.

For sponsorship opportunities, please contact Jeff Miles @ or 579-5407. Proceeds benefit the PTA groups of the schools participating in the parade.
