
On May 3rd, 1999, a series of tornadoes struck Oklahoma, including a devastating long-track tornado which ravaged the Oklahoma City metro area. Forty-two persons died as a direct result of these tornadoes - 38 in the metro area, and 4 in other areas of the State. Three others died in the metro as an indirect result of the storm.
Statistically, the following charts illustrate the cities, places, and ages of the victims of our weather on May 3rd.
