At the close of the filing period for Moore City Council and Mayor, eleven individuals have entered the race for a seat on the council.
In the Mayor’s race, incumbent Glenn Lewis (56) and Brandy Hill (30) are asking to serve the citizens on the highest seat of the council.
Incumbent David Roberts (72), Steven Sheriff (29) and Kyle Shiplett (42) are seeking to serve the citizens of Ward 1.
Ward 2 incumbent Janie Mears Milum (63) will run against Mark Hamm (44) and Troy Nelson (27).
Incumbent Terry Cavnar (58) of Ward 3 will run against Kristina Taylor (30) and Larry Teske (65).
“We are looking forward to a healthy and respectful campaign period and hope that this election cycle will help our citizens learn about the great services and opportunities available by choosing to live in Moore.” stated Steve Eddy, Moore City Manager.
The primary elections will take place on March 6th. If a candidate does not receive over 50% of the vote during the primary then the two candidates with the highest number of votes will face off at the General Election on April 3rd.
Residents must register by February 10th to vote in the Moore municipal elections.
