Fire Vision 2006
In November 2006, the voters of Moore overwhelmingly approved a temporary 1/2 cent sales tax to fund one-time capital items for the Moore Police, Fire, and Emergency Management Departments. The sales tax went into effect on April 1, 2007 and will expire on March 31, 2011.

Projects funded through the 1/2 cent public safety tax
- Construction will soon begin in early 2009 on the new Fire Administration building and Fire Station #1. Click here to see the architects rendering.
- There was a groundbreaking on Friday, October 17 to kickoff the start of construction on the new Fire Station #1.
- Bids are being solicited at the present time from companies who are interested in constructing Fire Station #1. Plans are complete and construction will begin in 2009 on the two new sub-stations (Stations #3 and #4). See rendering
