City Manager
The City Manager is the chief administrative officer of the City, and is the head of the administrative branch of the city government. He is responsible for executing the City's laws and ordinances, and administers the government of Moore.
Among other activities, the City Manager:
- Appoints all directors or heads of administrative departments, and all other administrative officers and employees of the City. As necessary, he also may suspend, lay off, demote, or remove such personnel.
- Directly or indirectly supervises and controls all administrative departments, agencies, officers, and employees.
- Prepares an annual budget for submission to the City Council, administers the budget after it goes into effect, and recommends to the Council any changes which he deems desirable.
- Submits a report to the Council at the end of the fiscal year concerning the finances and administrative activities of the City for the preceding year.
- Keeps the Council advised on the financial condition and future needs of the City, and makes recommendations to the Council on matters of policy and other matters as may seem desirable.
- Has other powers, duties and functions as may be described by the City Charter or the City Council.
