Art in the Park: A Celebration in the Heartland

 

Art in the Park LogoArt in the Park: A Celebration in the Heartland is an outdoor festival that attracts spectators from Moore and the surrounding communities. This 2-day event features a variety of arts and crafts, entertainment, and food. The final day of the festival features additional activities and vendors, ending with a spectacular fireworks display at dark.

Activities and Events

  • ART IN THE PARK: A CELEBRATION IN THE HEARTLAND '09
    July 3rd (5 pm-10pm) & July 4th (Noon-10pm) 

    Planning for this event is well underway.. As always, entry into the Art in the Park: a Celebration in the Heartland is free and will have many family fun activities such as Live Music, Guitar Hero/Dance Dance Revolution Tournament, Children's Art Tent, Giant Sand Pit, Inflatables, Food, Wineries and much more. On the night of the 4th we have our Huge Fireworks Show at dark. We are signing up vendors now, so click here for an application. 

    There is still space available for Artist, Crafters & Community Groups. Contact Teresa Smith at 793-4332.

Thursday, July 2nd
6pm Carnival opens

May purchase individual ride tickets or a $20 arm band/person that allows unlimited rides for one day only


Friday, July 3rd
5pm–10pm

  • Children’s Tent: 5pm-8pm
  • North Pavilion
    5pm-6:00pm: Band–One Day Now with Edgar Cruz
    6pm-9:30pm: Guitar Hero; Karaoke and Dancing (Open Mic)
  • South Pavilion
    5:30pm-6pm: Blast Cheerleading Demonstration
    7pm-10pm: Band–Bad Monkey. Moore's own icon J.R. Webster will be performing with Bad Monkey
  • Happy Train: 5pm-10pm
  • Carnival: 5pm-10pm (may purchase individual ride tickets or you may purchase a $20 arm band/person that allows unlimited rides for one day only) 


    Saturday, July 4th
    Noon-10pm

  • Children’s Tent: Noon-8pm
  • North Pavilion
    Noon-9:45pm: Guitar Hero; Karaoke and Dancing (Open Mic)
  • South Pavilion
    5pm-5:30pm: USA Taekwondo Center Demonstration
    5:30pm-7:15pm: 80’s Band
    7:15pm-7:30pm:Presentation of the Colors
    7:45pm-9:45pm: Band–Metal Shop
  • Happy Train: Noon-10pm
  • Carnival: Noon-10pm (may purchase individual ride tickets or you may purchase a $20 arm band/person that allows unlimited rides for one day only)


    Fireworks at dark on July 4th at approximately 9:45pm. Tune your radio to 87.7 FM to hear the music synchronized to the fireworks show
