  • Utility Rates to increase with billing after June 30, 2015

The City Council has approved utility rate changes effective with billings after June 30, 2015.  The average residential utility customer will see a $5.05 per month increase on their monthly utility bill. This increase is needed to sustain the growth of the city and to keep up with increases in prices charged for our water utility services.  The increase for sanitation services is the first in 17 years.

  • City Officials Offer Apology

Moore, OK July 22nd, 2015- The City of Moore would like to apologize for our error in failing to lower all City flags out of respect for the servicemen killed last week in Tennessee. A majority of the City flags were lowered to half-staff during the time period Governor Fallin had ordered. We deeply regret several City flags were not lowered, including the flag at Veterans Park.  The City of Moore and its officials have great respect for our U.S. military and are saddened and dismayed by the violence that took place last week. Our sympathy and prayers for those effected by this tragedy were immediate and are ongoing. We have scrutinized our internal communications procedure and vow to keep this from happening in the future.  All City of Moore flags will remain at half-staff through sunset of July 25th.
