  • Moore Police Now Hiring

    Tuesday, November 25, 2014 - 5:00pm

    The Moore Police Department will be holding a written and physical test for the position of police officer on November 25th at 5:00 PM.  Go to the Moore High School field house located at 300 N Eastern (on the east side of the football stadium). Bring a photo ID and $15 for the written test. The physical test will be first and consist of 1 1/2 mile run in 15 min 20 sec. 300 meter sprint in  68 seconds, 15 pushups and 26 sit ups.   • Two Propositions to be Decided on November Ballot

    September 17, 2014 - Registered voters in Moore are being asked to decide two separate propositions on the November 4th ballot. The first proposition is for a $15 million general obligation bond for the construction of a four lane bridge on S. 34th Street over Interstate 35.

    Property owners in Moore would see an increase in property taxes for this project. A property that is valued at $125,000 would see an increase of $68.44 in the first year then the amount would gradually decrease to $26.83 by year fifteen.  Read More » about Two Propositions to be Decided on November Ballot

  • Half Cent Sales Tax to be Decided on November 4th

    Registered voters in Moore will have the option of renewing a half cent sales tax on the November 4th ballot.

    The proposition is the renewal of a half cent sales tax that began on April 1, 2011. The proposition would keep the sales tax in place for an additional four years with 80% of the funds being designated for residential street improvements and 20% being used for public safety equipment for Moore Police, Fire, and Emergency Management departments.  Read More » about Half Cent Sales Tax to be Decided on November 4th

  • Senior Center Bean Dinner Fundraiser

    Saturday, November 1, 2014 - 11:00am to 2:00pm

    Beans, Cornbread, Cole Slaw, Dessert & Drinks all for only $4.00 for Adults and $2.00 for Children (under 12).

    Proceeds from the ticket sales to benefit the Moore Council on Aging and Brand Senior Center.

  • Name the Park - Your Vote Counts!

    The City of Moore is developing a new 51 acre park at 4th and Broadway. The park will include a  53,000 square foot recreation center, an aquatic park, a farmers market/multi-purpose facility, an amphitheater, and a multi-purpose trail. The process to design and develop the park has been an inclusive process with a great deal of citizen input. We are seeking your input again. A stakeholder group made up of Moore citizens have come up with three possible names for the park and three possible names for the two major components, the recreation center and aquatic park.
